Competa lies 650 m above sea level nestled in the mountains of the Axarqia region east of Malaga, less than 1 hours drive from Malaga airport. From Competa you can reach the mediterranean beaches in only half an hour!
Located in a quiet street (pedestrian access only) yet only a 2 minute walk to the main Plaza with it's bars and restaurants.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 with double bed, 1 with 2 single beds and 1 with a single bed, a maximum of 5 people can stay. Very traditional in style with it's cosy rooms and long stair -case up to the roof terraces where you will be thrilled by the views right down the valley to the sea. On some clear days you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Morocco.
Competa like many other pueblo blancos shares a great many similarities with the villages of north Africa. The labyrinth like streets draw you in to explore and find out whats around the next corner. Competa has quite a large foreign population which has brought the advantage of a cosmopolitan atmosphere, bars and
restaurants with excellent food and service. Even so you can still see the locals continuing with their traditions and crafts which include winemaking and sun dried raisin production on the steep slopes.
Competa is also a very popular destination for walkers, the Natural Park is a stones throw away. There are many activities in the local area as well as the opportunity to visit Malaga, the new Picasso museum, Granada and the many beaches.
